Install or update

1. Stop recording and quit any existing RecordStuff app.
2. Open the DMG and drag RecordStuff to Applications.
3. Launch it from Applications and look for its menu bar icon.
4. Allow screen and system-audio recording when prompted; relaunch if requested.

The app is self-signed and not notarized by Apple. If macOS blocks an unverified developer, check the download source, then use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Do not bypass malware or damaged-file warnings. Managed Macs may restrict this option.

No developer tools or certificates are required. English and Traditional Chinese installation guides are included in the DMG. Right-click the menu bar icon to change language or recording settings.

Verification and known limits

Tested on an Apple M1 Pro running macOS 26.6.2. The installed candidate passed recording, audio playback, and language-persistence checks. Installation from the public browser download passed on this Mac after per-app Open Anyway approval. The user confirmed recording/audio playback, language persistence and normal quit/reopen; the new recording also passed full decode. Existing permissions and security caches limit what this Mac proves about first launch on another machine.

Clicking a saved notification selects the file in Finder, but Finder may remain behind other windows. There are no automatic app updates.
