• ⭐ Star ratings & ▶ play counts in the song list — see your ratings and how many times you've played each song. Click the column headers to sort by them, and toggle either column in Settings → Library.
• 🛈 Greyed-out buttons now explain themselves — if Add music (or Add video/photos/Delete) is unavailable, clicking it pops up why it's greyed out and how to fix it (e.g. a read-only iPod → open the device page and "Read device ID"), instead of doing nothing.

Grab Mixtape.exe below — a single file, no installer, no .NET needed. Windows SmartScreen may warn because it's unsigned: click More info → Run anyway. New: a built-in troubleshooting guide.

Works on

iPod 1G–5G, photo, Classic, mini, and nano 1G–7G (read/browse on all; writing depends on the model — see the README/TROUBLESHOOTING).

⚠️ Please note

Mixtape writes to your iPod's database. It makes a backup and verifies every change, but back up your iPod yourself and test with one song first.
