You need to remove shadow of selector box, this is selector box. How i do:

If you have media playing in a compatible application, I think it should already show up. At least I seem to remember it happening for me in the past, I can't reproduce it right now.

Anyway, to change the configuration to your liking you can copy the openSUSEway configuration files for SwayNotificationCenter (found under /etc/xdg/swaync/) into your home (~/.config/swaync/) and edit them there. They should be picked up with precedence.

How to blur the control center?

You need a compositor that supports blurring layer shell surfaces like swayfx and hyprland :)

I have done this in hyprland with layerrule = blur,^(swaync-control-center)$ in the config, however the swaync layer covers the whole screen and this results in the whole screen being blurred when swaync is open.

I am interested on that as well... I have a script on my waybar that shows overall notifications with color code, also detects whether if I have installed yay/flatpak/snap and proceeds with updates in case there is a pending one on those... But I want to move it to Swaync

I'm sorry for the huge delay. I wanted to fix the issues before sharing the configs but couldn't at all get free time. As some of you were asking for the config files I am now sharing half baked version (kinda). Although it won't create much issues unless you are pixel peeping. (Yeah I do it so it's kinda annoying to see the CSS issues.) Also the bottom control center, I didn't get time to work with it so you are requested to add your own programs in it.

I've installed your style.css and your configSchema.json but is not rendering proprely. I'm trying to fix it, but theming swaync's style.css indeed is indeed a nightmare!

That is because all those configs are for a <0.12 version of swaync and need to be reconfigured for new standards. @ErikReider or anybody can you please (truly please) provide what changes have been made by pointing to the precise commit or even better a standard config with all the admitted variables so we can patch it easily and make an standard? I am pretty dumb in searching in git to know that and pretty busy right now to make it through brute force. If you prefer I can make a ticket so everybody goes there instead of here to reach more people with the updates.

Starting from @JannisPetschenka nord configs:

Sorry I've never created anything on any git system to manage any dotfiles, but start from his!

I've used fit-to-screen but with margins (control-center-margin-{top/bottom/right/left}) for the control center so that it spawns aligned with where regular windows are set on hyprland. I think it integrates well like that. The reason is mainly because I use screens with different resolutions and so I can have a similar experience regardless of where I open it.

EDIT: I've kept adding on it:

New notification button on waybar to display swaync as well, and added options for my asus ROG power modes and a few changes more.

There is as well a "greyed"/faded out for Not Disturb mode for the waybar swaync indicator.

copy the code from start to (---------------) this divider
paste it in ~/.config/swaync/config.json
from the divider to end copy and paste css code to ~/.config/swaync/style.css
then restart swaync or logout and log in.

They're in my dotfiles repo, the margins might be a bit messed up depending on the resolution of your monitor making the buttons slightly off center though. I'm still trying to learn how to do things properly and I just did some heavy editing of the default config. You will need the swaync dotfiles and the colors dotfiles for it to work properly.
