SIMcloud for WooCommerce v0.3.0 — quick setup and bundled logos

Choose a tag to compare

@ErikThiart ErikThiart released this 19 Oct 18:40

One-click product setup with the original SIMcloud network and VAS logos bundled in the plugin.

Quick start

After WordPress/WooCommerce installation, upload simcloud-woocommerce-0.3.0.zip, activate it and open WooCommerce → SIMcloud. Enter your API token and click Connect & set up products.

That single action saves settings, verifies the account, reads both catalogues and populates data bundles and VAS denominations with default logos. New products are published at the API amount. Configure your payment gateway and deliberately enable live submissions after controlled acceptance.

Follow the illustrated quick-start guide.

Included

  • Four mobile-network logos and 19 VAS logos downloaded from SIMcloud, with public sources and SHA-256 provenance.
  • Native local Media Library attachments, reused per brand and displayed as normal WooCommerce featured images.
  • One simple virtual VAS product per available denomination, plus catalogue-backed data bundles.
  • Preserved merchant prices, descriptions, SKUs, custom images, drafts and trash. Empty images on matching existing products can receive defaults.
  • Default image assignment when manually configuring airtime/data/VAS products.
  • Explicit image warnings for unknown brands or Media Library write/processing failures. Runtime never downloads arbitrary image URLs.
  • Updated installation/import guides and four actual quick-start screenshots.

Verification

The suites include 29 setup/media assertions, 22 data-import assertions and 76 fulfilment assertions, plus concurrent-worker and lifecycle checks. The PHP 8.2/8.4/8.5 matrix tests source and the installed ZIP. Asset checks verify all 23 bundled originals against the manifest.

A fresh browser-driven installation created four demonstration data products and six VAS products using seven shared image attachments. All ten product images loaded from local uploads; repeat setup created no duplicates, and live submissions remained disabled. A missing settings nonce returned HTTP 403. The tested 390-pixel storefront had no horizontal overflow.

Release boundary

This is a prerelease. API catalogues/balance in automated and browser tests are synthetic; no authenticated live catalogue or paid supplier acceptance is claimed. The bundled logos were retrieved from the public SIMcloud image URLs. Complete merchant-owned controlled acceptance before live sales.

Back up and pause submissions before upgrading, preserve purchase evidence, and deliberately re-enable after review. GPL-2.0-or-later applies to plugin code; third-party logos and trademarks remain with their respective owners. SIMcloud prepaid value and payment processing are separate services.

SIMcloud for WooCommerce v0.2.0 — automatic data products

Choose a tag to compare

@ErikThiart ErikThiart released this 19 Oct 18:23

Data-bundle products can now be populated automatically from SIMcloud's product-list API.

Automatic data products

Open WooCommerce → SIMcloud and click Refresh catalogues / import data. Missing available data bundles are created as published simple virtual products, with the name, description, network, provider product ID and amount already configured. The API amount becomes the initial WooCommerce regular retail price, with no plugin markup.

Repeat imports preserve existing merchant products, names, descriptions, SKUs, regular/sale prices and publication state. Manually configured data products are recognized; drafts and trash remain unchanged. Invalid or ambiguous network/amount mappings are skipped. The result reports publications, existing products, skipped rows and save failures, with a database lock guarding concurrent imports.

Import uses catalogue GET requests and does not purchase prepaid value. VAS, airtime and electricity retain their existing product-setup flow.

Install and use

Download simcloud-woocommerce-0.2.0.zip from Assets and upload it through WordPress's plugin installer. The .sha256 asset verifies the runtime ZIP. GitHub's automatic source archives are separate developer downloads.

For upgrades, back up and pause submissions, reconcile open purchases, install the new ZIP and deliberately re-enable after review. Preserve the purchase database and provider references.

Verification

The real-database suites include 22 data-import assertions and the existing 76 four-service checkout/fulfilment assertions, plus concurrent-worker and lifecycle checks. The three-job PHP 8.2/8.4/8.5 matrix tests source and the installed runtime ZIP. Browser checks clicked the actual import button, observed two published sample products, preserved a merchant's different retail price, and verified zero new products on repeat refresh.

Screenshots and tests use intercepted provider responses and synthetic products. This remains a prerelease; authenticated live catalogue validation and paid supplier acceptance are not claimed. A connected read was unavailable without a configured bearer token. Complete controlled merchant-owned acceptance before live sales.

GPL-2.0-or-later. SIMcloud prepaid value and payment processing are separate commercial services.

SIMcloud for WooCommerce 0.1.0 — airtime, data, VAS and electricity

Choose a tag to compare

@ErikThiart ErikThiart released this 19 Oct 14:17

Initial installable release of SIMcloud for WooCommerce, supporting South African airtime, data bundles, VAS vouchers and prepaid electricity.

Included

  • Merchant-owned API credentials, connection/balance checks and live submission controls.
  • Current data/VAS catalogue mapping, recipient/network validation and electricity meter checks.
  • Classic checkout, Checkout Blocks/Store API integration and HPOS-compatible order access.
  • Atomic per-item submission claims, persisted provider identifiers, background polling and explicit review of uncertain outcomes.
  • Redeemable VAS codes and electricity tokens/units in authorized order details, with private order links in emails.
  • Merchant documentation, API notes, privacy tools, contribution/security policies and reproducible packaging.

Verification

The compatibility matrix covers PHP 8.2 / WordPress 6.8.3 / WooCommerce 10.0.4 with legacy order storage, and PHP 8.4 and 8.5 / WordPress 7.1.3 / WooCommerce 11.2.1 with HPOS. Each job runs the 76-assertion integration suite against both source and installed ZIP, plus real-database concurrent-worker and lifecycle checks. Browser checks covered classic VAS checkout, Blocks electricity checkout, merchant settings, product editing and restricted code delivery.

See the compatibility workflow and verification record for evidence and limits.

Installation

Download simcloud-woocommerce-0.1.0.zip below and upload through WordPress Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Use this runtime ZIP rather than the automatic source archives. Follow the illustrated installation guide, then set up the four services. Preview the actual plugin screenshots or browse the documentation index. Submissions are disabled on activation until deliberately configured and enabled.

Operating boundary

This is an initial prerelease. Tests use real WordPress/WooCommerce databases with synthetic provider transport and payment collection; no live supplier delivery or paid SIMcloud acceptance is claimed. Complete controlled acceptance with your own funded SIMcloud account before production sales. The plugin never automatically repeats uncertain creates, refunds payments, or reverses delivered prepaid value.

GPL-2.0-or-later. SIMcloud prepaid services and payment processing are separate commercial services.
