New Features

Upgraded Protobuf Compiler

At 11.2 the Knowledge Graph Service upgraded the protobuf compiler version from 3.19.4 to 3.21.12. Clients will be required to re-generate their protobuf-generated classes with the 3.21.12 version of protoc to encode and decode protobuf objects against an 11.2 Enterprise.

New Data Types

At 11.2 the ArcGIS platform introduced 4 new data types!

  1. esriFieldTypeBigInteger
  2. esriFieldTypeTimestampOffset
  3. esriFieldTypeDateOnly
  4. esriFieldTypeTimeOnly
  • This is reflected in the protobuf specification with new value types embedded in AnyValue.
  • We've also introduced a new openCypher type, DurationValue to support temporal queries that may return a Duration between two temporal instants.

Provenance

Knowledge Graph introduced the Provenance feature to arcgisManagedData: true services so users can track the lineage of their data. We've enhanced the QueryDataModelResponse to return the definition of this meta_entity_type, as well as return Provenance specific metadata, provenance_source_type_values.
