New Features

Client Data

At 11.3.0, the knowledge server introduces a new set of endpoints to store client data natively in the service. New APIs are introduced to FetchClientData, UpsertClientData & Retrieve ClientDataKeys. See Request & Response proto specifications for details.

Constraint Rules

At 11.3.0, the knowledge server introduces a new set of admin endpoints to add, update and delete RelationshipExclusionRules to the service. These rules allow the service to enforce user-defined relationship integrity during applyEdits. The rules are persisted as part of the service's data model and exposed in QueryDataModelResponse.

RelationshipExclusionRules are part of the greater ConstraintRule capability the knowledge server will expand on in coming releases. See AddConstraintRules, UpdateConstraintRules & DeleteConstraintRules proto specifications for API usage and details.

Async Support

At 11.3.0, the knowledge server introduces the ability to execute REST operations asynchronously. SyncDataModelRequest is currently the only operation that can be executed asyncnronously as specified by clients. New response proto specifications, AsyncResultResponse & AsyncStatusResponse are provided to aid clients in polling the status and result of long-running, asynchronous REST operations.

Query Request

  • By popular demand, the QueryRequest now allows clients to specify the input spatial reference (in_sr) of bind geometries and geometry literals to help light-weight clients pass map native geometries to the server.
  • Similarly, the output spatial reference (out_sr) parameter allows clients to specify the spatial reference of geometries in the query response result set.

Delete Named Type

DeleteNamedTypeResponse now includes a new parameter for warnings associated when deleting specific named types. For example, if an Entity or Relationship Type participate in a RelationshipExclusionRule, a warning is issued to notify clients the delete operation has an impact on the service behavior.

Map Object Identifier Sets

Introduced a new type in ObjectIdentifierSet to pass maps of object identifier sets.

WKT2

SpatialReference and DatumTransformation now support creation using wkt2, the OGC-defined international standard for well-known text strings.

Deprecations

GraphSearchRequest has marked return_geometry for deprecation. This parameter will be replaced by a more granular result set option parameters in the coming releases.
