Mapper Core (COC Base) 0.9.7-COC.5.2

Corrected cross-platform preview release.

The macOS app is now sealed after deployment, stripping, and resource installation. The downloaded DMG passed image verification, strict deep code-signature validation, mounting/copying, and launch smoke testing. It remains an unsigned, non-notarized preview, so macOS requires explicit first-launch approval.

Android and the Puget Sound imagery catalog are carried forward byte-for-byte from 0.9.7-COC.5.1; desktop packages were rebuilt from the tagged source.

Mapper (COC Base) 0.9.7-COC.5 — cross-platform packaging refresh

Cross-platform packaging refresh for the upstream-faithful Mapper 0.9.7-COC.5 line.

This build adds the established COC online satellite/aerial imagery support and importable imagery catalogs. It does not include Map Hub.

Downloads:

• Linux x86-64: AppImage, Debian/Ubuntu package, RPM package, and Flatpak bundle
• macOS Apple silicon: disk image
• Windows x64: installer and portable ZIP
• Android arm64-v8a: directly installable preview APK
• Puget Sound imagery catalog and a machine-readable release manifest

Validation includes the upstream test suite on each desktop platform, packaged-app startup smoke tests, Linux package inspection, macOS bundle and disk-image checks, Windows installer extraction/startup checks, and APK signing/ZIP validation.

The macOS and Windows packages are unsigned. The Android APK uses an ephemeral preview signing key, so upgrading from an older preview may require uninstalling it first.

Mapper with Map Hub — July 18, 2026

Apple-silicon macOS preview of OpenOrienteering Mapper with the COC Map Hub workflow. Built from EthanOConnor/mapper commit 86b1bf9fcddd72ba1ce9490d0d4f28b6b11ec036 (draft PR #2). The DMG passed the GitHub macOS package/startup smoke test and local hdiutil verification. Open Mapper and choose Map Hub for the first-use connection flow. Ask Ethan for a COC map library access token. This preview is not Apple-notarized; macOS may require the usual explicit Open confirmation.

Windows x64 preview build of OpenOrienteering Mapper with online imagery and .oic imagery catalog support.

• Installer and portable ZIP are unsigned; see the site for the SmartScreen note.
• SHA-256 digests, byte sizes, and the CI run URL are in the release manifest.
• puget-sound.oic is an example imagery catalog (import via Templates → Online Imagery).
