VS Code Icons++ adds per-project Angular and Nest icons to Nx workspaces while retaining the vscode-icons artwork and customization settings.

Install from Visual Studio Marketplace, select the VS Code Icons++ file icon theme, then remove the original vscode-icons extension. Marketplace installations receive automatic updates.

  • Independent EthanSK.vscode-icons-plus-plus identity, theme, commands and ++ artwork.
  • Live Nx project detection, moves and configuration changes, with compact caching for large workspaces.
  • Neutral TypeScript icons for conflicting parent-folder/filename matches, matching VS Code's API limits.
  • Existing vsicons.* settings remain compatible.

Verified with 724 automated tests, lint, packaging and the exact VSIX in native VS Code on a Mac mini. See verification and limitations. Independently opened VS Code windows still share the generated theme.

This is an independent MIT-licensed fork of vscode-icons. Original artwork and contributor attribution are preserved.
