First tagged release of FreeSearch API: your own keyless web search API.

Highlights

  • Metasearch across DuckDuckGo, Brave, Bing, Yahoo and Wikipedia, merged with Reciprocal Rank Fusion and de-duplicated
  • Drop-in endpoints for Tavily, Serper, the Brave Search API and SearXNG

  • Live demo GIF in the README, recorded by the new Demo GIF workflow against real engines from a GitHub runner
  • scripts/record_demo.py to re-record it; it refuses to save a GIF if the page shows no real results
