✅ Added

  • Controller ability to have many universal directories per grouping of hosts (UniversalGroups config option)
  • Controller/deployer/updater ability to update the updater executable
  • Controller deploy-changes argument to replace both manual-deploy and auto-deploy options

🔨 Fixed

  • Controller failure of configs requiring reload would not redeploy; error was 'nothing left to deploy' (fixed by passing correct file path array inside SSH deploy function so that repository file paths are used instead of target file paths)
  • Controller '--deploy-all' argument would not use head commit if no commitid was specified (fixed by removing premature check for empty commitid in predeploy function)
  • Deployer would print debug message 'command error' (fixed by removing debug print from deployer code)
  • Deployer would sometimes print error message exit status when running controller commands (fixed by ignoring errors from external commands and sending only command errors back to the client)
  • Controller update process could hang if remote SSH server did not send a reply to the custom SSH request type (fixed by adding 30 second request timeout)
  • Controller would sometimes attempt to delete files despite if they existed somewhere else in the repository (fixed by ensuring that deletion only occurs if git reports the new file path is empty)
  • Controller repository seeding would not ask for custom reload commands if no default was present (fixed by setting separate bool for 'no default options' scenario)
