Expected Result:

The PR introduced an "Unreported" badge whose background color (colors.productLight400 / #E6E1DA) is identical to the selected-row background (activeComponentBG, also colors.productLight400), causing the badge to be invisible when the expense row is checked/selected. Reverting PR #88851 will immediately restore the prior behavior.

Detailed Analysis

Evidence

• The melvin-bot comment on the issue already linked this PR: Show Unreported status badge for expenses without a report #88851
• PR Show Unreported status badge for expenses without a report #88851 is in the StagingDeployCash checklist (entry 37 in the chronological order) and was merged on 2026-05-02, before the version 9.3.66-1 staging build.
• The issue is "Reproducible in staging? Yes" and "Reproducible in production? N/A - new feature, doesn't exist in prod" — consistent with a staging-only regression introduced by this PR.
• The PR explicitly adds an unreported badge style to both light and dark themes, and wires it up in StatusCell via getReportStatusColorStyle.

Verification

• Affected file: src/styles/theme/themes/light.ts — the unreported badge backgroundColor is set to colors.productLight400.
• Root collision: In src/components/Search/SearchList/ListItem/TransactionListItem.tsx (line 115), a selected row applies styles.activeComponentBG. In src/styles/theme/themes/light.ts, activeComponentBG is also colors.productLight400. The two values are identical, so the badge background becomes invisible.
• PR Show Unreported status badge for expenses without a report #88851 modifies src/libs/ReportUtils.ts, src/styles/theme/themes/dark.ts, src/styles/theme/themes/light.ts, src/styles/theme/types.ts, and tests/unit/ReportUtilsTest.ts — all directly relevant to the status badge rendering path.

Root Cause

PR #88851 chose colors.productLight400 (#E6E1DA) as the background color for the new unreported badge in the light theme. This is the same color token used for activeComponentBG (the background applied to a selected list row). When the user selects an expense via checkbox, the row background becomes #E6E1DA, which exactly matches the unreported badge background, making the badge visually disappear.
