  • I verified proper file naming conventions were followed for any new files or renamed files. All non-platform specific files are named after what they export and are not named "index.js". All platform-specific files are named for the platform the code supports as outlined in the README.
  • I verified the JSDocs style guidelines (in STYLE.md) were followed
• If a new code pattern is added I verified it was agreed to be used by multiple Expensify engineers

@mkzie2 The only thing I'm still considering is how we could incorporate this fix directly into shouldCreateNewMoneyRequestReport. But doing so might introduce some unintended side effects. I hope you can take a closer look at this during the PR phase — it would be great if we could handle it there.

@DylanDylann I checked this point. I think we shouldn't bring isSplitExpense check into shouldCreateNewMoneyRequestReport function because isSplitExpense is a special parameter in getMoneyRequestInformation function, while shouldCreateNewMoneyRequestReport is also used in other flows that don't have the split expense case.
