HelpDot Documentation Review

Overall Assessment

This PR updates the 2FA recovery codes filename from two-factor-auth-codes to DO-NOT-DELETE_Expensify-2FA-RecoveryCodes.txt across three documentation files (four occurrences). This is a targeted, factual correction that aligns the documentation with the actual filename used in the product. The change is consistent across all locations and does not introduce any new structural or stylistic issues.

Scores Summary

  • Readability: 10/10 - The changes are minimal and maintain the existing sentence structure. The new filename is rendered in inline code formatting, which keeps it scannable and distinct from surrounding prose.
  • AI Readiness: 10/10 - No metadata, headings, or structural elements were altered. The updated filename is more descriptive and keyword-rich (Expensify, 2FA, RecoveryCodes), which marginally improves semantic retrieval for search queries about recovery codes.
  • Style Compliance: 10/10 - The change uses the exact product filename, consistent with the Naming Conventions requirement to "use the exact text shown in the product UI" and to "match capitalization exactly." The inline code backtick formatting is appropriate for filenames.

Key Findings

  • All four occurrences of the old filename have been updated consistently -- no stale references remain in the changed files.
  • The new filename DO-NOT-DELETE_Expensify-2FA-RecoveryCodes.txt is more self-documenting for users searching their devices, which is a user experience improvement beyond just documentation accuracy.
  • No governance violations are introduced by this change.

Recommendations

  • No action required. This PR is ready to merge as-is.

Files Reviewed

  • docs/articles/expensify-classic/settings/Two-Factor-Authentication.md -- Filename updated (1 location). No issues.
  • docs/articles/new-expensify/settings/Login-Troubleshooting.md -- Filename updated (2 locations). No issues.
  • docs/articles/new-expensify/settings/Two-Factor-Authentication.md -- Filename updated (1 location). No issues.

Note: This PR contains only factual filename corrections with no structural or stylistic changes, so no inline comments were necessary.

Hey @jliexpensify I think these are related to the 2FA project you are working on - wanna have a look and see if any of this is worth pushing to the help site?

If any of it conflicts with something you are doing in another PR, you can just ask Melvin to remove that part from this PR!

Nice, thanks @stephanieelliott - docs/articles/new-expensify/settings/Login-Troubleshooting.md, I didn't realise it was also in that one.

The other 2 docs have already been changed but it's fine for Melvin to push these out, since they are minor.

HelpDot Documentation Review

Overall Assessment

This PR updates the 2FA backup/recovery codes filename from two-factor-auth-codes to DO-NOT-DELETE_Expensify-2FA-RecoveryCodes.txt across three documentation files. The change is a straightforward factual correction to match the current product behavior. All three occurrences are updated consistently.

Scores Summary

  • Readability: 9/10 - The changes are minimal and maintain the existing sentence flow. The new filename is longer but presented correctly in inline code formatting, keeping it scannable.
  • AI Readiness: 9/10 - No impact on headings, metadata, or article structure. The updated filename improves factual accuracy, which supports reliable AI retrieval.
  • Style Compliance: 9/10 - The changed lines use correct inline code formatting for the filename. UI terminology is consistent across all three files. No naming convention violations introduced.

Key Findings

  • All three references to the old filename have been updated consistently, which is good -- no stale references remain.
  • The change is purely a factual correction (filename update) with no structural, heading, or metadata modifications.
  • The surrounding (unchanged) content was not evaluated per review scope rules.

Recommendations

  • No blocking issues. This is a clean, well-scoped documentation update.
  • Confirm that DO-NOT-DELETE_Expensify-2FA-RecoveryCodes.txt matches the exact filename generated by the product, since accuracy of UI-exact labels is a core governance requirement.

Files Reviewed

  • docs/articles/expensify-classic/settings/Two-Factor-Authentication.md - Filename updated in FAQ answer. Clean.
  • docs/articles/new-expensify/settings/Login-Troubleshooting.md - Filename updated in two locations (troubleshooting steps and FAQ). Clean.
  • docs/articles/new-expensify/settings/Two-Factor-Authentication.md - Filename updated in FAQ answer. Clean.

No inline comments warranted -- the changes are minimal and correct.
