A lot of internal changes and some externally visible changes from the first version. This update paves the way to adding support for more legacy Minecraft versions.

Features:

• Added option to remove lighting strikes when overriding the weather.

Changes:

• The Remove Block Action option has been renamed to Remove Block Animations

Bugs:

• Fixed instance where the Set Passengers packet could be written out with the incorrect size. (causing job to fail)
• Fixed instance where the one of the Particle packet’s fields was read/written incorrectly. (causing job to fail)
• Fixed instance where the Link Entities packet could be written out with the incorrect size. (causing job to fail)

Performance:

• Replays are now processed about twice as fast! The reading & writing of replay recording is now handled separately from the processing of the job itself which results in better performance when editing small batches of replays.
• There are two new launch flags available to revert to how I/O was handled in the previous version: --disableAsyncReads, --disableAsyncWrites

This brings the current supported range of ReplayMod replays to Minecraft 1.17 to 1.21.8.

Development:

• This tool now uses json files to load protocol mappings instead of the hard coded protocol mappings used in the previous version. This opens the possibility to new features and more easily adding support for new and old Minecraft versions.
• Added the --showHiddenOptions launch flag to expose some features helpful for development.
• Added the ability to load a custom protocol mapping json file from the File menu when the --showHiddenOptions launch flag is used.
• Added the Protocol Generation Assistant GUI tool to help in generating new protocol mapping jsons, accessible from the File menu when the --showHiddenOptions launch flag is used. There is zero documentation on how to use this as it’s really only meant to help with development and isn’t intended as a user facing feature.
• Added Export Test Run when the --showHiddenOptions launch flag is used. It’s purpose is to help identify areas where packets are being parsed improperly. (Again, meant to aid development. Not useful for end users)

Notes:
The Logs tab in the GUI is still inaccessible and still has yet to be implemented. For now you will still need to launch the tool from the console/terminal if you want to view the logs.
