Releases: Eyakub/Rallo
Release list
Rallo 0.9.0
Rallo 0.9.0 for Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 14 or later).
Install or update: see docs/distribution.md. Already installed? Run rallo update.
Signed with Rallo's own certificate, not notarized. Installed with rallo update or
scripts/install.sh it opens normally; a zip downloaded in a browser needs
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway once.
What's new
- Rallo now notices Grok. When xAI's Grok CLI asks for permission, the pet waves and the
session shows in "Waiting for you", just like Claude Code and Codex; it clears when the turn
ends or is cancelled. Runrallo setup hooks --agent grok(or Settings → Agents), and
rallo setup skill --agent grokso Grok can save notes for you. - If you already set up Rallo's Claude Code hooks, Grok sessions are picked up through them
too (Grok runs Claude Code's hooks), so updating is enough.
Changes
- chore(release): 0.9.0
- docs: 0.9.0 highlights
- docs: Grok in the README, CLI contract and 0007

Fixes
- Fewer Keychain prompts. Rallo reads your ClickUp token and cloud voice key at most once
per launch, and Settings → Voice no longer reads the key just to show that one is saved. - Why macOS still asks once after each update: Rallo is signed with its own certificate, not
an Apple Developer ID, so macOS remembers "Always Allow" per build. Click Always Allow
(with your login password) and it won't ask again until the next update.
Changes
- chore(release): 0.8.1
- docs: Keychain Always Allow doesn't survive updates
- fix(app): ask for Keychain access at most once per launch

scripts/install.sh it opens normally; a zip downloaded in a browser needs
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway once.
What's new
- Voice typing (experimental). Turn it on in Settings → Voice, press ⌃⌥⌘V anywhere
and talk: Rallo types into whatever app has focus (a terminal, a browser, your notes), with
no pasting. Press it again to stop, or pause for 10 s.- Three engines: Apple's built-in one (macOS 26), Whisper large-v3 turbo on your Mac (a
1.6 GB download you start, kept in the shared Hugging Face cache so other Whisper tools can
use it), or a cloud engine with your own Groq, OpenAI or compatible API key. - Words to recognize teaches it names like "Rallo" or a teammate's; "um"s and stutters
("like like") are dropped. - It never presses Return and stays out of password fields. Audio and text are never saved
or logged.

- Rallo listens. While the mic is live the pet cups a paw to its ear, leans in, and nods
for each phrase it types.
Fixes and hardening
- Releases no longer carry the
get-task-allowentitlement, which let other processes of
yours attach to Rallo (and its new microphone and Accessibility access). - The Whisper model is checked against its SHA-256 before it is loaded each launch.
rallo uninstallalso removes voice API keys from the Keychain.
Cloud engine costs are between you and the provider: Groq's free plan is rate-limited and
costs nothing; Groq's paid plans and OpenAI bill by audio time.
