• sendEcho now actually publishes echo challenges, validates responses, and tears down listeners before resolving—no
more hanging confirmations.
🛡️ Input & relay hardening
• Echo helpers validate challenge strings (must be even-length hex) and prefer group-provided relays while falling back
safely to defaults.
📚 Docs & examples
• README sample updated to generate a 32-byte (64 hex) challenge with crypto.randomBytes, clarifying the expected
format.
🧪 Coverage
• Added tests/echo.test.ts to exercise success, rejection, timeout, trimming, and validation branches; npm test + npm
run build remain green.
