What's new

Transparent MOV — ProRes alpha fix (macOS)

Exported .mov files with a transparent background now display correctly
in Premiere Pro on macOS. The bundled FFmpeg has been upgraded from 6.0
to 8.1 (arm64). FFmpeg 6.0's ProRes 4444 encoder did not write the
per-frame alpha-mode atom that AVFoundation requires; FFmpeg 8.1 fixes
this. Windows was unaffected.

Manual subtitle insertion

A new + Add subtitle button in the subtitle editor inserts a blank
segment at the current playback position. The editor automatically enters
edit mode and places the cursor in the new field so you can type
immediately. Useful when Whisper misses a word or sentence.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Space — play / pause (in addition to the existing K shortcut)
  • J / L — seek −2 s / +2 s (unchanged)

Ctrl+Wheel zoom fix

Zooming the video preview with Ctrl+Wheel no longer also scrolls the
page.
