The first release: draw on your screen while you present, teach or share it, on Mac and Windows.

Draw on anything. Press Option+Shift+D on a Mac, or Ctrl+Shift+D on Windows, and the pen is in your hand over whatever is on screen. P pen, H highlighter, A arrow, R box, W a white or black board, 1 to 6 for colours, [ and ] for size. Strokes come out smooth, and Shift keeps an arrow to 45 degrees or a box square.

Point without drawing. L for a laser that fades behind the pointer, S for a spotlight, Z for a zoom lens. Clicks go through to the app underneath, and holding Option, or Alt, while you scroll sizes the spotlight or the lens.

Esc does what you expect. The first press erases everything drawn, and undo brings it back. The next switches every tool off. Scrolling while you draw scrolls the page underneath.

Nothing is collected and Tinypen makes no network request. On a Mac only zoom asks for Screen Recording; on Windows it asks for nothing.

Mac (macOS 14 or later): download Tinypen-mac.zip below, open it and drag Tinypen into Applications. The first time, macOS says it cannot check it for malware: open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway.

Windows (10 or 11): download Tinypen-win-x64.exe below, or Tinypen-win-arm64.exe on an ARM PC, put it where it can stay and run it. If SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, click More info, then Run anyway.
