Tinypen 1.1.0
Tinypen now keeps itself up to date, on Mac and Windows.
Updates install themselves. Once a week Tinypen asks GitHub whether a newer version is out, with nothing about you or your drawings in the question. It downloads the new version, checks it (on a Mac, that it is signed exactly as itself; on Windows, against the checksum GitHub gives), and installs it the first moment nothing is drawn or showing. It starts again quietly, so no message ever comes up over your slides.
Keep it where it can change itself. On a Mac that is Applications: a copy opened straight from Downloads offers to move itself there. On Windows, any folder of your own. Anywhere else, the menu names the new version to download.
Copies of 1.0.0 have no updater, so this one download is by hand. From here on, it happens by itself.
Mac (macOS 14 or later): download Tinypen-mac.zip below, open it and drag Tinypen into Applications in place of the old one. The first time, macOS says it cannot check it for malware: open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway.
Windows (10 or 11): download Tinypen-win-x64.exe below, or Tinypen-win-arm64.exe on an ARM PC, quit Tinypen from the tray, and put the new file in place of the old one. If SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, click More info, then Run anyway.
