What's new in 0.2.2

Updates

  • Optional update check: with Check for updates at start-up (once a day) turned on in the About window (F1), MetalMD asks the GitHub Releases API for the latest release at most once a day, after the document is shown; Check now asks at once. It is off by default. The request carries only the program version, and nothing is downloaded: a newer release shows a button with its version left of the About button, which opens the release page.

Windows

  • A file opened while MetalMD is minimized now restores the window and brings it to the front. Before, the file went to a new tab of the minimized window, which stayed down.

Interface

  • Softer toolbar icons: the Open, Text and update icons have rounded corners and round line ends.
  • About: the Markpad credit is under the license.

Обновления

  • Необязательная проверка обновлений: если в окне «О программе» (F1) включён флажок Проверять обновления при запуске (раз в сутки), MetalMD не чаще раза в сутки, после показа документа, запрашивает у GitHub Releases API последний выпуск; кнопка Проверить сейчас запрашивает его сразу. По умолчанию проверка выключена. Запрос содержит только версию программы, и ничего не скачивается: при наличии более нового выпуска левее кнопки «О программе» появляется кнопка с его версией, открывающая страницу выпуска.

Окна

  • Файл, открытый при свёрнутом MetalMD, теперь разворачивает окно и выводит его на передний план. Раньше файл попадал в новую вкладку свёрнутого окна, и оно оставалось свёрнутым.

Интерфейс

  • Более мягкие иконки панели инструментов: у иконок «Открыть», «Текст» и обновления скруглены углы и концы линий.
  • «О программе»: упоминание Markpad перенесено под строку лицензии.
