What's new in 0.2.0

Mini player

• 0, the button left of Minimize or Mini player in the picture's context menu turns the window into a small one over the other windows, with the picture alone, of the picture's shape. Play, the speaker, the volume and the seek bar come over the picture while the pointer moves there; the corner's button, 0 again or a double click brings the window back as it was (to fullscreen when the mini player came from there), Esc to the window.
• It starts in the bottom right corner of the screen and is later where it was left; it keeps the picture's shape while its edges are dragged, and is drawn to the screen's edges while it moves.

Video map

• Ctrl+M or Save a video map in the context menu saves frames taken at equal steps through the whole file (16 at first) in a grid on one picture, each with its time, under a line with the file's name, duration, picture size, codec, frame rate and size. The map is written into the folder of saved frames and put on the clipboard, ready to be pasted into a chat with a language model. The frames show the picture as the player does: turned, of the aspect ratio chosen, deinterlaced and mirrored as set on the panel.
• The grid, the width, the format and the line on top are chosen on the Video page of the settings.
• From the command line, without the window: metalmpv --map video.mkv [-o FILE|FOLDER] [--grid 4x4] [--width 1536] [--png|--jpg] [--no-info] prints the pictures' paths.

File information

• Ctrl+I shows the information window's chips alone, see-through, in the picture's top right corner; kept between runs. In brief on the Video page leaves one row of what plays: the format, the picture's codec, size and HDR, the audio track and the subtitles.
• In the window, more than four audio tracks unfold on a click on +N; the subtitles have a row of their own, unfolding into a chip per track that shows it.

Video, sound and subtitles panel

• Arrows at the ends of the sliders step the value; held, they repeat.
• The rotation and the flips are rows of segments: the angle one of four, the flips two switches.
• HDR on SDR: Off shows an HDR picture as the signal is, unconverted (washed out on an ordinary screen, for comparison).
• Reset all on the Sound tab (the delay included), and on the Subtitles tab for the look, the place and the delay.
• A double click on an equalizer band puts it back to 0.
• The subtitles' place and timing are groups of their own. The height reaches the picture's edges (0 the top, 100 the bottom edge); 95 is where the bottom was before, so a height of 100 kept from 0.1.0 now puts the lines lower.

Settings

• The keys page: a round arrow at the right of each action puts its own keys back, with Undo.
• Subtitle files loaded with a video: by default only those of the video's name (Film.srt); a setting kept from 0.1.0 stays as it was.

Кнопка воспроизведения, динамик, громкость и полоса перемотки появляются поверх изображения, когда по нему движется указатель; кнопка в углу, повторное 0 или двойной щелчок возвращает окно, каким оно было (в полноэкранный режим, если мини-плеер был включён из него), Esc — в окно.
• Сначала мини-плеер появляется в правом нижнем углу экрана, потом — там, где его оставили; при перетаскивании краёв сохраняет форму кадра, а при перемещении притягивается к краям экрана.

Карта видео

• Ctrl+M или пункт Сохранить карту видео контекстного меню сохраняет кадры, взятые через равные промежутки по всему файлу (по умолчанию 16), сеткой на одной картинке, с временем на каждом, а над ними — строку с именем файла, длительностью, размером кадра, кодеком, частотой кадров и размером. Карта записывается в папку сохранённых кадров и помещается в буфер обмена, откуда её можно вставить в чат с языковой моделью. Кадры показывают изображение так же, как плеер: с поворотом, выбранными пропорциями, устранением чересстрочности и отражением, заданными на панели.
• Сетка, ширина, формат и строка сверху выбираются на странице Видео настроек.
• Из командной строки, без окна: metalmpv --map video.mkv [-o ФАЙЛ|ПАПКА] [--grid 4x4] [--width 1536] [--png|--jpg] [--no-info] выводит пути к картинкам.

Сведения о файле

• Ctrl+I показывает чипы окна сведений отдельно, полупрозрачными, в правом верхнем углу изображения; включение сохраняется между запусками. Параметр Кратко на странице «Видео» оставляет одну строку о том, что воспроизводится: формат, кодек, размер и HDR изображения, звуковую дорожку и субтитры.
• В окне сведений больше четырёх звуковых дорожек разворачиваются щелчком по +N; у субтитров своя строка, которая разворачивается в чип на каждую дорожку, щелчок включает её.

Панель видео, звука и субтитров

• Стрелки по краям ползунков меняют значение на шаг, при удержании — повторно.
• Поворот и отражение — ряды сегментов: угол — один из четырёх, отражения — два переключателя.
• HDR на SDR: Выкл. показывает HDR-изображение как есть, без преобразования (на обычном экране блёкло, для сравнения).
• Сбросить всё на вкладке «Звук» (вместе с задержкой) и на вкладке «Субтитры» — вид, положение и задержка.
• Двойной щелчок по полосе эквалайзера возвращает её к 0.
• Положение и синхронизация субтитров — отдельные группы. Высота доходит до краёв изображения (0 — верх, 100 — нижний край); 95 — там, где раньше был низ, поэтому сохранённая из 0.1.0 высота 100 теперь ставит строки ниже.

Настройки

• Страница клавиш: круглая стрелка справа от каждого действия возвращает его клавиши, с кнопкой Отменить.
• Файлы субтитров, загружаемые с видео: по умолчанию только с именем видео (Фильм.srt); настройка, сохранённая в 0.1.0, остаётся прежней.

Установщик и портативный архив содержат libmpv под GPL v3; см. THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md.

libmpv 20261012 (build dependency)

Not a release of MetalMPV. This pre-release keeps a copy of the libmpv build that MetalMPV is built with, because the original release page keeps only its last builds. tools/get_libmpv.py downloads it from here, checks its SHA-256 and falls back to the original.
