Alpha release. Packaged-app behavior may still change between releases.
New
- Pi keeps working when you switch workspaces only, and the app now shows it. Each workspace in the sidebar gets a status dot (working, waiting for approval, finished, or failed), and the header summarizes background work.
- Desktop notifications when a turn finishes, fails, or waits for approval in a workspace you are not looking at. Clicking one takes you there. They are on by default and can be turned off in Settings.
- Coming back to a workspace that is mid-turn now re-attaches: you get a working banner, live streaming, and the app backfills the output you missed.
- Quick switcher on Ctrl/Cmd+K: jump to workspaces, sessions, and files, or type / to narrow to commands. It works even while Pi is stopped.
- A Diagnostics view: how Pi was found and its version, provider key status (secrets are never read), permissions and trust, storage paths, and recent errors from the new app log.
- Prompts injected into Pi by extensions such as pi-nvim now show up in the chat as they arrive, instead of only after a reload (#54).
Fixed
- Clicking the session row of a workspace that was still working silently aborted that background turn. It no longer does, and opening a different session in that workspace warns you first.
- Reloading the window during a turn streamed the rest invisibly and could save a cut-off message.
- Git failures in the diff viewer and review rail now show an error with a retry instead of an empty view.
