PullFrame 0.3.4
PullFrame 0.3.4
- Updates the bundled yt-dlp to 2026.08.19.
- Bundles Deno 2.9.7 so YouTube's JavaScript challenges work without a separate runtime install.
- Adds optional Chrome/Safari sign-in on the Analyze screen; the choice applies to both analysis and downloading of YouTube links.
- Explains YouTube sign-in checks, rate limits, browser-data permissions, and Keychain access instead of showing a generic network error.
- Fixes MP4/WebM quality fallbacks that could select audio only for a video request.
- Makes download progress explicit and verifies the final file before marking a download complete.
- Pins build dependencies and verifies bundled media-tool downloads with SHA256 checksums.
Browser sign-in is off by default and used only for YouTube. macOS may request
access to the selected browser's data and Keychain. YouTube can still limit
requests after sign-in.
PullFrame 0.3.4 is the only current release and targets Apple Silicon macOS. Older Windows betas are outdated; no Windows 0.3.4 package has been released.
Install
Download PullFrame-0.3.4.dmg, open it, and drag PullFrame into Applications.
This build is for Apple Silicon Macs and is not Apple-notarized. macOS may show a first-open security warning.
Verification
- All 10 downloader regression checks passed.
- The macOS app and installer were built and the app signature was verified.
- A successful YouTube download was confirmed in the installed PullFrame 0.3.4 app.
- The SHA256 checksum is included as a separate release asset.
