Releases: Fathom-Media/fathom
Release list
v0.9.1-dev.1
Dev build from the dev branch (heading toward 0.9.1). Not a stable release.
Changes since v0.9.0:
- YouTube: channel video lists now page properly. Fixed a stall where scrolling a channel stopped loading partway (and could knock out playback too), it was re-fetching every video individually and tripping YouTube's rate limit. Channel videos now come through the browse endpoint in one request per page.
Tester build, report anything odd. The in-app updater's Beta channel will offer future dev builds automatically.
v0.9.0
Fathom 0.9.0
The first public release of Fathom, a desktop client for Jellyfin, for Linux and Windows.
Fathom puts your Jellyfin movies, shows, music, and Live TV in one fast, good-looking app, and everything plays through mpv, so you get direct play, hardware decoding, and real subtitle and audio track control. Two optional extras round it out: a full, ad-free YouTube client and Seerr requests, each toggled on or off in settings.
Highlights
- Movies, TV, Music, and Live TV from your Jellyfin server
- One shared player for everything, with picture-in-picture and pop-out to the desktop
- Optional YouTube client: SponsorBlock, DeArrow, downloads, no ads or account
- Optional Seerr requests from the detail page (Jellyfin, local, or API-key sign-in)
- Ratings, SyncPlay watch-together, and full server administration
- In-app updates with a stable or beta channel
- Light, dark, and AMOLED themes, searchable settings, a translatable interface
Install
- Linux: download
Fathom-x86_64.AppImage, make it executable, and run - Windows: download
Fathom-windows-x64.zip, extract, and runfathom.exe - Source: attached below
Getting started
Launch Fathom, point it at your Jellyfin server, and sign in. Turn on the optional YouTube and Seerr sections in Settings if you want them.
This is Fathom's first public release, so expect a few rough edges. All feedback is genuinely wanted: bug reports, feature requests, and ideas. The goal is to grow Fathom into one of the best Jellyfin clients out there, so open an issue or start a discussion and it'll get read. Fathom is free software under the AGPL-3.0.
