@WhiskeyNiner WhiskeyNiner released this 10 Jul 12:57

The first release of AirPulse.Updater provides a simple, reliable way to keep AirPulse.Node current.

The updater checks the official Feedline Labs release service for the latest available version. When an update is found, it safely downloads the new AirPulse.Node package, stops the running service, installs the updated files, and restarts the node.

This release was designed specifically to make Raspberry Pi maintenance easier, especially for users who may not be comfortable manually downloading and replacing application files.

AirPulse.Updater includes:

  • Automatic version checking
  • Secure release downloads from Feedline Labs
  • Automatic AirPulse.Node service stop and restart
  • Backup of the previous installation
  • Detailed update logging
  • Safe handling when the installed version is already current

AirPulse.Updater is an important first step toward making AirPulse Raspberry Pi systems easy to maintain after installation.

AirPulse.Node 2026.7.04.0 — Auto-Update Ready Release

Choose a tag to compare

@WhiskeyNiner WhiskeyNiner released this 03 Jul 21:32
feb0936

This release prepares all AirPulse.Node platforms for the new AirPulse auto-updater system.

All platform builds now include the runtime support needed for safe updater-based installs and upgrades, including graceful shutdown, runtime status reporting, corrected scanner startup state handling, and improved version/build metadata.

This means Windows, Raspberry Pi, Linux, and macOS builds are now auto-update capable going forward.

For this release, existing users should still update manually using the normal platform ZIP. After installing this version, future updater-based workflows can safely stop AirPulse.Node, preserve settings, replace the runtime, restart the node, and confirm that the node is healthy.

Highlights:

  • Added updater-ready runtime support
  • Added graceful shutdown support for AirPulse.Node
  • Added runtime status support for update health checks
  • Improved scanner state reporting so “Scanning” means the SDR has actually started
  • Preserves compatibility with the existing manual ZIP update process
  • Prepares Windows users for the new AirPulse.Updater workflow
  • Prepares Raspberry Pi, Linux, and macOS builds for future updater rollout

This is an important bridge release. Please install it before switching to the new AirPulse.Updater flow.

AirPulse.Node 2026.6.29.0

This release completes the transition to the new cross-platform AirPulse.Node architecture. Windows, Raspberry Pi, and Linux now all use the same web-based control panel and share the same core codebase.

What's New

  • Unified web-based Control Panel across all platforms
  • New Repeaters view for browsing the local repeater database
  • Supports choosing a specific SDR if you have multiple plugged in
  • Improved control panel layout and responsive resizing
  • Cleaner button organization and UI refinements
  • Shared AirPulse.Node runtime for Windows, Raspberry Pi, and Linux
  • Increased duplicate activity report cooldown from 10 seconds to 20 seconds, reducing unnecessary network traffic while maintaining timely activity reporting.

Downloads

  • Windows x64
  • Raspberry Pi (ARM64)
  • Linux x64

Looking Ahead

The next release will introduce platform awareness. AirPulse.Node will include its operating system and application version when requesting repeater data, allowing the server to record this information with each activity session. This will provide better diagnostics, deployment tracking, and version management across all deployed nodes.

Important:

The next release will be mandatory. Legacy AirPulse Desktop clients will no longer be supported after that update as the platform completes its migration to AirPulse.Node.
