This is for version 0.41R5, PC only. It may or may not work for future/previous versions.

  1. Download and unzip this VR patcher.
  2. Drag “Virtual Succubus.exe” onto “VSVRSetup.exe” then press enter when it’s done.
  3. Now you need to install MelonLoader. Follow the instructions for “Automated” here
  4. Put the actual VR mod (on this page) into your newly created mods folder.
  5. If you do not have it already, get SteamVR (I’m pretty sure VS won’t show as playing on Steam since it’s not a game in your steam library and it will instead show you playing SteamVR. However, if you are really paranoid about your friends finding out how much of a degen you are, you can change profile privacy settings or use a different steam account)
  6. Done. Run the game. SteamVR should launch when you do, and the game will start outputting to your headset when you start a session.

NOTES:

  • For most in game promts, nodding your head will press the left button, and shaking your head will press the right button.
  • The loading screens, menus, etc. are not visible in VR. Only sessions will display in the headset.
  • There are a few prompts in the game that may not have an easy way to interact in VR. If you get one, you can toggle the UI from VR to your monitor by pressing TAB so you can use the mouse to click on it, then press TAB again to bring it back to VR.
  • The radial menus new 0.40 can be accessed by pressing down on a joystick on a VR controller. You can then use the joytick to highlight the desired option, then press the trigger to click it,
  • You can change the height of the UI with pageup/pagedown or the Y and H keys
  • You can change the depth of the UI with Insert/Delete or the U and J keys
  • This is a very janky way to play the game in VR. I haven’t done extensive testing. So far, it seems like hypnosis and ASMR work (relatively) well, but I’m unsure about other events. If anything unexpected happens, let me know so I can look into it. Smothering is very messed up right now in VR, I suggest turning it off.
  • The camera will start much higher than it should. You can press SHIFT to zero the position of the camera at any time. This is also helpful for changes in player positioning or if you want to change perspective. Some people have said this hasn’t worked for them, so the alternative is to change the settings for your headset so that your height is close to zero. In Oculus this is done in Devices -> Oculus Rift and Touch -> Set Floor Position. For other headsets, the OVR Advanced Settings app in Steam should have an option for this.
  • A lot of this has been trial and error to get working. You can ping or DM me if you have issues, but if you run into problems with your specific headset/setup, I may not be able to help much.
