Linux support

Tiling mode

Need a map bigger than one export allows? New "Tiling mode" checkbox keeps a ghost outline of your last export on the map, plus ←/↑/↓/→ buttons to place a new square exactly touching its edge — same size, same rotation, mathematically aligned (not just dragged by eye). Export each tile and stitch them together in your photo editor for one big seamless heightmap.

New: 8K & 16K resolution support

You can now export heightmaps at up to 8K (8192×8192) on the website, and up to 16K (16384×16384) in the desktop app. 16K is desktop-only because processing that many pixels takes too long for the website's server to handle without timing out — no such limit on your own machine.

One restriction either way: GeoTIFF is disabled above 4K, since it stores uncompressed 32-bit values and would produce huge files (~256MB at 8K, ~1GB at 16K). Use 16-bit PNG or RAW .r16 instead if you need higher resolutions — both stay much smaller.
