  • Python 3.9 or newer is required (previously 3.6).
  • New log format: delivery log and queue log now write one line per delivery attempt with key=value pairs (valid logfmt). Timestamps use local time with UTC offset.
  • Support for implicit TLS (port 465, smtp_tls = implicit)
  • TLS certificates are verified when TLS is mandatory (smtp_tls = yes|implicit or port 465) and the server is not local.
  • The delivery log now also contains failed and discarded deliveries. The SMTP log includes the server greeting.
