First public release

BoltUpdateTool is an unofficial macOS firmware updater for the Logitech Bolt USB receiver.

Requirements

  • macOS 26.0 or later

Installation

  1. Download BoltUpdateTool-1.0.0-macOS.zip from Assets below.
  2. Extract the ZIP archive.
  3. Move BoltUpdateTool.app to the Applications folder.
  4. Launch the application and select both matching DFU files.

Important safety notice

This project is experimental and is not affiliated with or supported by Logitech. An interrupted update or incompatible firmware package may render the receiver unusable. Use it at your own risk, preferably with a spare receiver first. Firmware is not included in this release.

First Windows release

BoltUpdateTool is an unofficial firmware updater for the Logitech Bolt USB receiver. This release contains Windows ARM64 and 32-bit x86 applications.

Choose the correct download

  • Windows ARM64: BoltUpdateTool-1.0.0-Windows-arm64.zip
  • Windows x86 (32-bit): BoltUpdateTool-1.0.0-Windows-x86.zip

The x86 build can run on compatible x64 Windows installations through Windows 32-bit compatibility. A native x64 build is not yet published.

Requirements

Install the ARM64 runtime for the ARM64 download or the x86 runtime for the x86 download.

Installation

  1. Download the ZIP matching your Windows architecture from Assets below.
  2. Download the corresponding .sha256 file and verify the checksum.
  3. Extract the complete ZIP archive.
  4. Install the matching .NET 10 Desktop Runtime if it is not already present.
  5. Start BoltUpdateTool.Windows.exe.

Windows signing notice

The executables are not currently Authenticode-signed. Windows SmartScreen may show an unknown publisher warning. SHA-256 checksums are provided so both archives can be verified.
