cleanup_file_history doesn't clear the inputs in the FileHistory.json file ,ST 3 -OSX 10.9

i dont know if this would help or not but i use this settings

Cleanup file history does not remove all entries but only the files that have been removed. I guess we could add a command to reset the whole history though.

Btw, you can delete the file Packages/User/FileHistory.json manually to delete the current file history.

yeah i know but i thought the cleanup_file_history should clean that file wither you are using the global or project only settings.

@ctf0 Just to be clear: are you asking for an option to delete all of the history entries or to enhance the cleanup so that it cleans all of the projects?

1. from all projects, remove all history entries that no longer exists on the file system (and remove any projects that no longer exist)
2. remove all history entries

I also favor a solution with 2 different commands, one to "cleanup" (run on ST start) and one to "clear" or "reset". (see also my initial comment)

Yes, but having that as an option on startup too sounds reasonable.
