[1.214.2] — 2026-08-25

Fixed — the shared HTML→text pipeline (Greenhouse / Recruitee descriptions) no longer leaks tag attributes into the description when an attribute value contains a > character.

Fixed

  • HTML descriptions with > inside an attribute are stripped cleanly. The tag stripper behind the Greenhouse and Recruitee descriptions used a naive match that stopped at the first >, so a tag like <a title="salary > 100k"> left the trailing attribute text (100k">) in the description. It now respects quoted attribute values (single or double), strips markup before decoding entities (so an encoded quote inside an attribute can't become a false delimiter), and still preserves a literal <> in plain text.

Notes

  • Test suite: 2742. Scan sources unchanged at 82. Nothing else new from the parent this round: the remaining changes are relayed read-only (follow-up / weekly-digest / rejection-latency / salary-gap fixes need no web-ui change) or aren't web-ui surfaces (an external X/Xquik BYO-key plugin, CLI/verify fixes). The opt-in items — SmartRecruiters detail descriptions, detect-reposts aggregator skip, stem: / word: title prefixes, DNS-rebinding guard — stay queued.
