[1.31.0] — 2026-05-17

Parent career-ops 1.8.0 sync — #/batch exposes --model + --start-from.

The parent project bumped 1.7.1 → 1.8.0. The user-relevant code delta: batch-runner.sh gained --model NAME (#504) and --start-from N. web-ui surfaces both on #/batch, completing flag parity (the runner's full surface — --parallel --dry-run --retry-failed --start-from --max-retries --min-score --model — is now reachable from the browser).

✨ Features

  • feat(batch): surface --model + --start-from
    • public/js/views/batch.js — new Model text input (optional; placeholder "Claude Max default") and Start from # numeric input (optional; min 1). Appended to the run-control row next to Max retries.
    • server/lib/routes/batch.mjs — GET /api/stream/batch?model=…&startFrom=…. Defense-in-depth (same posture as v1.28.0 --max-retries): model accepted only if it matches ^[A-Za-z0-9.\-]{1,60}$ (rejects shell-meta even though spawn() is arg-array — belt-and-suspenders); startFrom accepted only as an integer 1..100000. Bad values silently dropped, not 400'd — the UI input is the soft contract.
    • i18n: batch.modelLbl, batch.modelAria, batch.startFromLbl, batch.startFromAria × 8 locales.

Other parent deltas assessed as no web-ui code change required: interview-prep audience split (#489) flows through bundleProjectContext automatically; dashboard/ is the parent's Go/Bubble-Tea terminal TUI (browser equivalent is our SPA — not integrated by design); modes/tr/ Turkish templates are parent-side (a 9th web-ui UI locale is a separate deferred decision); parentVersion auto-reports 1.8.0 via health.mjs runtime read.

🧪 Tests

  • test(batch): tests/batch-model-startfrom.test.mjs — 7 cases: model pass-through, shell-meta charset rejection (injection guard), empty-model drop, startFrom pass-through, out-of-range drop (< 1), non-integer drop, combined-with-other-flags coexistence.
  • 567 → 574 unit + acceptance (+7).

🔄 Migration

No user action. The next 🌐 Batch run with the Model / Start-from fields blank behaves exactly as before (Claude Max default, start at offer #1).
