[1.33.0] — 2026-05-17

WS4 — full parent career-ops 1.8.0 feature-parity audit + location_filter.

Audited every user-facing parent commit v1.7.0→v1.8.0 (see .planning/.../PARENT-PARITY.md). One real GAP found and closed; everything else is FLOW (parent script we shell out to / inline via bundleProjectContext), CLI-ONLY (parent Go TUI), or N/A.

✨ Features

  • feat(scan): portals.yml location_filter parity (parent #570) — parent's scan.mjs gained an optional location_filter block; web-ui runs its OWN in-process en-scanner/ru-scanner (they do NOT shell out to parent scan.mjs), so it did not flow through. New server/lib/location-filter.mjs mirrors the parent buildLocationFilter semantics verbatim (no key → pass-all; empty location → pass; block precedence over allow; allow empty → pass; allow non-empty → match ≥ 1; case-insensitive substring). Wired into both scanners' post-fetch filter step (after title/negative, before dedup/persist). Config-driven via portals.yml top-level location_filter: — no UI needed.

🧪 Tests

  • test(scan): tests/location-filter.test.mjs — 8 cases: no-filter pass-all, empty-location pass, block precedence, allow-empty pass, allow-match-required, case-insensitivity, malformed-config safe-pass, exact parity with parent's portals.example.yml worked example. Scanner-integration regression: 51 en/ru/scan tests green (wiring didn't regress).
  • 581 → 589 unit + acceptance (+8).

Parity outcome

career-ops v1.8.0 feature-parity complete as of web-ui v1.33.0. Deferred (PLAN R4 scope-guard): #341 Turkish as a 9th UI locale — parent added TR mode templates (template-side); a 9th web-ui locale is a dedicated future phase. Optional/LOW backlog: #602 explicit Greenhouse hostname allowlist (already covered by web-ui's safe-fetch + isValidJobUrl envelope; slug-based URL construction, not raw hostname).
