Dark mode: Corrects black text in the Tournament Settings dialog so group-box captions and radio-button labels remain readable against the dark background.

Control rendering: Retains dark styling for edits, checkboxes, push buttons, panels, and compatible window chrome while allowing affected controls to use the dialog's intended text colors.

Compatibility: The standard light appearance, existing Engines.lbe and Tournament.lbt files, GUI operation, command-line batch operation, tournament behavior, and output formats remain unchanged.

Verification: The x64 Release build, dark and light Tournament Settings dialogs, preference persistence, restart behavior, and automated normal-game, illegal-move, timeout, process-death, manifest, and PGN regression tests pass.

Appearance: Adds a persistent Dark mode checkbox under Options while retaining the standard light appearance when disabled.

Coverage: Applies dark styling to controls, panels, inputs, results, scrollbars, and compatible window chrome throughout the main window.

Settings: Extends dark styling to the Tournament Settings dialog.

Compatibility: Existing Engines.lbe and Tournament.lbt files, GUI operation, command-line batch operation, tournament behavior, and output formats remain supported.

Verification: The x64 Release build, GUI startup, light-to-dark switching, preference persistence, restart behavior, and automated normal-game, illegal-move, timeout, process-death, manifest, and PGN regression tests pass.

Interface: Refreshes the GUI with native Windows visual styles, Segoe UI controls, bordered sections, and a clearer fixed-width layout.

Results presentation: Adds aligned Results, Losses, and Draws tables; a dedicated Match summary; clearer concurrent-game controls; and a Copy report button.

Reliability and reproducibility: Records actual UCI identities, engine SHA-256 hashes, engine options, tournament settings, and reproducible opening seeds in an atomic JSON run manifest.

Engine handling: Separately identifies engine process and protocol failures, improves process containment, validates expected UCI identities, and stops safely if PGN output cannot be written.

Compatibility: Existing Engines.lbe and Tournament.lbt files, GUI operation, and command-line batch operation remain supported.

Verification: The x64 Release build and automated normal-game, illegal-move, timeout, process-death, manifest, and PGN regression tests pass.

Adds standard PGN Termination tags for:

  • normal finishes
  • time forfeits
  • rules infractions
  • adjudications

Batch queues now validate every Termination tag and report time-forfeit counts.

The executable retains the standard filename LittleBlitzer.exe.

Command-line operation: New --batch mode loads existing Engines.lbe and Tournament.lbt files, starts without GUI interaction, writes PGN results and a live status log, and exits after the exact configured game count.

Queue operation: The included PowerShell supervisor preflights and runs multiple tournaments sequentially, stopping on failure and validating each completed result.

Safety and reporting: Existing PGNs are protected unless --overwrite is explicitly supplied. Documented exit codes distinguish successful completion, setup failure, and illegal-move results.

Compatibility: Normal GUI operation, existing configuration formats, and the color-reversed opening pairing introduced in 2.80 are retained.

Documentation: Added a complete command-line guide with single-run and queue examples.

Verification: The x64 Release build, GUI startup, overwrite protection, exit-code handling, queued execution, and paired-opening batch tests pass.

LittleBlitzer 2.80

Round-robin openings: Color-reversed games now use the same starting position, including randomized openings.
50-move rule: Games are declared drawn after exactly 100 plies without a pawn move or capture, rather than 101.
PGN en passant: The PGN parser now identifies en-passant captures correctly, allowing the move executor to remove the captured pawn.
Reliability: Fixed memory ownership, parsing bounds, process cleanup, UCI timeouts, timer reuse, scheduling counts, and several UI issues.
Verification: White/black en-passant regression tests and the x64 Release build pass.
