This template provides a minimal setup to get React working in Vite with HMR and some ESLint rules.
Currently, two official plugins are available:
- @vitejs/plugin-react uses Babel for Fast Refresh
- @vitejs/plugin-react-swc uses SWC for Fast Refresh
If you are developing a production application, we recommend using TypeScript and enable type-aware lint rules. Check out the TS template to integrate TypeScript and typescript-eslint in your project.
- Create a new Firebase project at Firebase Console
- Copy the
firebase.config.example.jsfile tofirebase.js - Replace the placeholder values in
firebase.jswith your actual Firebase credentials - Make sure
firebase.jsis in your.gitignorefile to prevent committing sensitive credentials
- Go to your Firebase Console
- Select your project
- Click on the gear icon (⚙️) next to "Project Overview" to open project settings
- Under "Your apps", find your web app or create a new one
- Copy the configuration object and replace the values in your
firebase.jsfile
Never commit your actual Firebase credentials to version control. Always use the example configuration file as a template and keep your real credentials in a local file that's excluded from git.
