3.9.9 – Frames, not blocks

This one started with a single screenshot.... and boy, did I went down a rabbit hole from there.

Selected history rows in the Library had looked right for ages: amber text, an amber frame on hover. The sidebar never got the memo. It still painted Nova's solid blocks, and once I started looking, the same mismatch turned up in three more places. All four now follow the same model as the rest of FoxOne.

Fixed

  • Sidebar rows (history, synced tabs) and their section headers no longer fill on hover. They get an amber frame instead, just like the Library.
  • The bookmarks sidebar now has the same amber hover frame. It used to show a grey block.
  • Extension buttons in the toolbar show a ring on hover instead of a grey block: light yellow on hover, amber while the popup is open. Before, extensions placed in the nav bar gave no hover feedback at all.
  • The sidebar launcher now marks the open panel in amber, icon and ring. Hover is the light yellow from the rest of the toolbar. Before, the open panel stayed white.

Notes

  • Only userChrome.css changed. userContent.css just carries the new version number, so there's no need to copy it again.
  • Tested on Firefox 158 and 159b4 on Windows with browser.nova.enabled set to true.
