@FishB0nes98 FishB0nes98 released this 23 Sep 15:07

Fixed Jun's first-time arcade import in Easy Setup. The verified combat file now includes the movement values used by her forward and backward jumps.

Fixed mostly all Jun related bugs:
Opponents no longer copy her moves
She is now selectable in Tekken Ball Mode
Jun can now jump forward and backwards
She is fully playable in Tekken Force Mode now without crashing the game with fix opponents (Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, Jin, Heihachi)
In Practice Mode Jun no longer breaks menu fonts
Jun now appears correctly on the usage screen
More Jun related content:

Added the remaining Jun costumes from TTT1, so now she has 3
In arcade mode, AI can now select her and play her on any difficulty
Made a copy of the TTT2 Jun stage and added as her own stage. This is a brand new stage in the game
Remaining Jun related issues:

In Character Selector (version 1 and 2), Jun's small portrait still lost by memory and turns into a "creepy" image... Now it turns into a ? mark (better, right?)
In Team Battle: I still couldn't make Jun's small portrait work on the loading screen. When knocked out, she will have an empty black image, when in team, she will be a "?".
On her own new stage, Jun's background music is still Jin's music
Her Movelist still shows Jin's moves, this is on my TODO...
Other changes:

You can now quit from the game in the main menu
Added 3 new costumes: Heihachi tiger stripes, Eddy Monochrome and Julia Blue Turquoise
Removed the AI heavy "costume" selector and made a brand new version, that works like in T8
Character selectors have been changed to a new selecting flow: Select your character with any button, select your outfit from the ingame carousel -> play the game
AI generated outfit images are replaced to ingame "screenshots" of those outfits
Tekken Ball Mode and Theater Mode is now unlocked by default but can be turned off in mods
Fixed P2's mismatched roster cursor
Fixed overlapping player inputs: controller-assigned players no longer also consume keyboard bindings
Changed the standard character-selector countdown default from 20 to 99
Also a brand new launcher: Instead of booting straight into the game, players will see a Launcher where they can do different things:
Keyboard mapping supports separate primary/alternate keys for each player, without modifying controller profiles
Added a persistent disc-image library with validation, remembered selection, and confirmed nondestructive detachment
You can turn on and off any mods/additions to the game

Easy Setup build fix + Jun Kazama - v0.1.2

@FishB0nes98 FishB0nes98 released this 13 Sep 16:51

v0.1.2 - Easy Setup build fix

Fixes the setup loop that repeatedly runs CMake and eventually reports
manifest 'build.ninja' still dirty after 100 tries.

Already stuck on v0.1.1?

Download Tekken3Recompiled-v0.1.2-Setup-Fix.zip, the small patch.

  1. Close the launcher.
  2. Extract the patch and copy its contents into your existing Easy Setup
folder, beside Play Tekken 3.exe. Choose Replace when asked.
  3. Open Play Tekken 3.exe again and retry setup.

Keep the existing game folder in place. Downloads, imported Jun files,
completed build work, settings and saves are retained. No terminal commands
are needed. This patch requires the v0.1.1 Easy Setup package.

New installation

Download Tekken3Recompiled-v0.1.2-Easy-Setup.zip, extract the entire archive,
and open Play Tekken 3.exe. Choose your game files and click Set up & play.
The launcher downloads the remaining tools automatically.

Changes

  • Easy Setup explicitly configures on every attempt, then builds without
Ninja's automatic CMake regeneration checks. This avoids the loop reproduced
with future-dated input files. Normal developer builds keep their defaults.
  • Build errors now direct you to the setup log instead of suggesting that every
failure is caused by heavy apps or insufficient memory.
  • Gameplay and all included mods are unchanged, including Jun Kazama.

First setup requires internet access, your supported Tekken 3 USA PS1 disc,
and at least 4 GB of working space. Jun also requires the supported TTT1 and
Tekken 3 arcade ZIPs. No ROMs, retail BIOS, extracted donor assets, or generated
retail game code are included. Windows x64 preview; Steam Deck/Proton and native
Linux remain unverified.

Full download: Tekken3Recompiled-v0.1.2-Easy-Setup.zip (about 103 MB).

Small patch for an existing setup: Tekken3Recompiled-v0.1.2-Setup-Fix.zip (13 KB).

SHA-256: 807ebc7e88d870afa10d69a7517091bad1e2cd37bd2c6ff94aecca9194438ca9

Patch SHA-256: 43f3ce6c602fc410dabc1921cc76b75b32f43e570b5d5ded180d461c26c2c69f

Validation: all six setup tests passed, including reproduction of the 100-retry error and successful recovery. The patched full game built with a future-dated CMake input and booted with Jun enabled. Patch contents match the full release. Both archives passed file/credential checks and Windows Defender scans.

v0.1.1 — Easy setup

Open Play Tekken 3.exe, choose your game files, and click Set up & play.

The launcher downloads its tools, prepares the game and all selected mods,
imports Jun, builds locally, and opens the game. On later launches the same icon
starts the game directly. Use Configure Tekken 3.cmd for graphics, controls and mods.

  • No manual Python, Pillow, MAME or compiler installation.
  • One setup screen for the disc and optional Jun donor ZIPs.
  • Progress messages, Cancel, and Retry after an interrupted setup.
  • Pinned tool downloads checked with SHA-256 before use.
  • Portable tools stay in the application folder; no system PATH changes.
  • Smaller ZIP: duplicate textures are rebuilt from the included PNGs and checked
byte-for-byte against all 20 existing runtime textures.
  • Gameplay and mod behavior are unchanged from the Jun showcase preview.

First setup requires internet access, your supported game files, at least 4 GB
of working space, and several minutes. For Jun, provide the supported TTT1 and
Tekken 3 arcade ZIPs as well as the USA PS1 disc. No ROMs or retail BIOS are included.

Windows x64 preview. Steam Deck/Proton and native Linux remain unverified.

Download: Tekken3Recompiled-v0.1.1-Easy-Setup.zip (about 103 MB). Extract the entire ZIP before opening the EXE.

v0.1.0-jun-preview

First public preview of the Jun Kazama showcase version, including all ten mod
packages and their supporting runtime changes. Custom HD textures and outfit
gallery artwork are included. Jun's original assets are imported locally.

  • Windows Defender scan: no threats found with the installed definitions.
