FixedCoin Core v30.0.0
MANDATORY MAINNET UPGRADE — install before block 52,560.
The new difficulty and monetary rules activate together at that height. All mainnet node and mining-pool operators must upgrade beforehand. Older versions do not implement these rules and may follow a different chain after activation.
What's New
- ASERT V2 difficulty adjustment: preserves the exact difficulty target from block 52,559 at activation, avoiding a migration-induced reset. Difficulty then adjusts after every block using a 24-hour half-life and a 10-minute target interval.
- 21,000 FIX supply limit: replaces the previous 10,000 FIX limit at activation. Additional coins enter circulation through mining; there is no one-time allocation at activation. Existing wallet balances are unchanged.
- New mining reward schedule: starts at 0.10466639 FIX per block, with halvings every 52,560 blocks. The first new halving occurs at 105,120. Including historical issuance and integer rounding, the schedule permits at most 20,999.99903160 FIX.
- Qt 6.8.4 desktop wallet: replaces Qt 5, with updated platform integration, macOS rendering and native notifications.
- Core and dependency updates: security fixes for memory bounds, excessive logging and costly transaction validation, alongside updated networking, wallet database and font libraries.
Historical blocks retain their original validation rules. Existing address formats and the historical frozen-output rule are preserved.

Upgrade Notes
- Download the package for your operating system and processor, and verify its SHA-256 checksum.
- Back up your wallets and shut down FixedCoin Core cleanly.
- Install v30.0.0 or replace the old executables, keeping your existing data directory and configuration.
- Restart, confirm version 30.0.0 and allow synchronization to finish before block 52,560. Activation is automatic at that height; no manual activation setting is required.
Linux packages are available for x86_64 and ARM64, both built on Ubuntu 22.04. Windows packages are 64-bit. macOS packages support Apple Silicon (ARM64) only.
Windows packages are unsigned. macOS packages are ad-hoc signed and are not notarized by Apple.
