Download the binaries for your platform.
Download and unzip "Resources.zip". Place it in the same folder as the executable.
On any other platform than Linux you also have to install GTK. For Windows: https://github.com/tschoonj/GTK-for-Windows-Runtime-Environment-Installer/releases
On Linux you have to make "GameFrameworkInitializerLinux" executable. (chmod +x GameFrameworkInitializerLinux; ./GameFrameworkInitializerLinux)
