Workstream PR Trust Bundle

Chunk

WS-DOCS-001-01 - Current v0.1 documentation entry path

Goal

Replace expired calendar guidance with a current, evidence-backed v0.1 capability view for humans and agents.

Intent And Planning Context

  • Intent: .agent-loop/initiatives/WS-DOCS-001-current-v01-documentation/INTENT.md
  • Chunk contract: .agent-loop/initiatives/WS-DOCS-001-current-v01-documentation/chunks/WS-DOCS-001-01-current-v01-entry-path.md

What Changed

  • Replaced the README planning package with a current v0.1 summary and focused entry path.
  • Rewrote docs/roadmap_status.md around exact capability categories.
  • Updated contributor and agent guidance to separate current authority from history.
  • Removed calendar framing from current product, architecture, operations, and diagram docs.
  • Preserved superseded plans behind historical notices and an index.
  • Regenerated the architecture PDF and addressed all five CodeRabbit findings.

Why It Changed

Expired week/day plans obscured current v0.1 capability state and made historical evidence look authoritative.

Design Chosen

Use one capability ledger with Implemented, In progress, Planned, and Historical. Keep README as summary, CONTRIBUTING as the canonical entry path, AGENTS as agent guidance, and old plans as indexed history.

Alternatives Rejected

  • Delete old plans: loses useful audit history.
  • Refresh dates: recreates the same drift.
  • Treat plans or drafts as live: conflicts with evidence-backed status.

Scope Control

Allowed Files Changed

  • Root documentation entry files.
  • Current roadmap, product, architecture, operations, and diagram docs.
  • Historical plans and early records for archive notices.
  • Generated architecture PDF.
  • WS-DOCS-001 planning and review records.

Files Outside Stated Scope

  • None.

Product Behavior

  • No Workstream product behavior changed.
  • Product behavior changed and is explained here:

Commands Run

python3 scripts/check_stale_workstream_wording.py
python3 scripts/check_stale_authorization_docs.py
python3 scripts/check_stale_artifact_contracts.py
git diff --check
pdftotext docs/architecture_brief/workstream_architecture_brief.pdf -

Result Summary

Markdown links passed.
Stale wording passed.
Stale authorization documentation passed.
Stale artifact contracts passed at artifact_store_cutover.
git diff --check passed.
PDF contains bounded v0.1 wording with no current 30-day framing.

Acceptance Criteria Proof

  • Root entry pages contain no week/day/30-day roadmap framing.
  • Status is capability-based and does not claim draft behavior is live.
  • Historical plans remain accessible but non-authoritative.
  • Contribution guidance identifies current sources of truth.
  • Links and stale-contract checks pass.

Test Delta

Tests Added

  • None; documentation-only change.

Tests Modified

External Review

Source Status Notes
CodeRabbit PASS on current head Five valid inline comments fixed in c2f67572; response recorded in the initiative.
GitHub checks Running on current head Agent Gates passed; Backend pending.

CI And Gate Integrity

  • No workflow weakening.
  • No lint/test/docstring gate weakening.
  • No coverage threshold weakening.
  • No package script weakening.
  • No unpinned new GitHub Action.
  • Checkout configuration was not changed.

Remaining Risks

The capability ledger must be maintained as integrations merge. Historical records retain original terminology but are explicitly non-authoritative.

Follow-Up Work

Update the capability ledger when an integration becomes implemented on main; do not revive calendar plans.

Human Review Focus

Please inspect:

  • Accuracy of the capability split.
  • Simplicity of the contributor entry path.
  • Whether any historical file still looks current.
  • The deferred reputation-projection boundary.

Human Merge Ownership

  • I can explain what changed.
  • I can explain why it changed.
  • I know what could break.
  • I accept the remaining risks.
  • The user explicitly approved this specific PR for merge.

“Planned” and “in-progress” with “In progress”; preserve the other existing
categories unless the ledger specifies their exact equivalents.

In `@docs/checker_trial_failure_catalog.md`:

specifications.

- Around line 23-24: Resolve the v0.1 scope inconsistency around “Reputation
Signals” in docs/roadmap_status.md by making it explicitly a deferred signal
input for a later reputation consumer, consistent with the
ContributionRecorded/contribution-evidence boundary, or remove it if that input
is not supported; do not imply runtime reputation projection or integration in
the locked scope.
