Chore: async / transactional issues in code base

Current Behavior

while working on #3671 the more async nature of the MSSQL driver unearthed a few issues in the codebase that should be addressed before they bite.

• Missing await in core code: b78f418
• Missing awaits in tests: 54c1f80
• Transaction not passed to hasInstance and hasDevice sub query calls from forge/ee/db/models/Pipeline.js: 733ad56
