Release 2025.0.2
First release of the 2025 line (supersedes the interim v2025.0.1 tag). Requires Indigo Server API 3.8.
New Features
- Custom decoder output as device value (#29): the "State Value Location" setting now offers a Custom Decoder Output option, so a field produced by a custom decoder can drive a device's primary value state (on/off, sensor value, brightness) — not just extra states.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed
stateUpdatedtriggers crashing the message-processing thread (and never firing) for devices without multi-states configured. - Fixed a
NameErrorthat made every Brighten By action on dimmer/color devices fail. - Fixed topic-based State Value Location being completely non-functional (wrong internal field name) for all device types that offer it.
- Fixed Request Status being blocked on sensor-only device types.
- Hardened the message-processing thread so a boolean/float/non-numeric payload value, a bad sensor "adjustment function" formula, or a malformed device template no longer crashes the plugin's background thread.
- Fixed a Python-3 incompatibility that masked real errors when creating a device/trigger from a template.
- Fixed device-template export dropping legitimate
0/False/empty values. - Corrected the "Pressure-mb" display unit.
Hardening & Internals
- The sensor adjustment function now evaluates in a restricted sandbox (no module imports) and logs errors instead of crashing.
- More robust plugin startup and MQTT-connector reconnection; safer device/trigger lifecycle handling.
- Bundled Python dependencies (
pystache, pyyaml) updated; the auto-generatedPackages/folder is no longer tracked in git. - Added type annotations throughout and simplified the sensor-subtype handling.
