v4.0 - PowerPoint built around your template and full admin UI

The PowerPoint tool is rebuilt around your own template, every document tool now reports what it had to work around, and the admin UI can run a whole deployment.

✨ New features

PowerPoint, rebuilt

• Works with your corporate template. Layouts are matched by name and shape, not position. Content uses the template's content area, picture placeholders, bullet glyphs and theme colours.
• New slide types: kpi, timeline, agenda, closing, blank and a working scatter chart.
• Validated slides: a typo is an error naming the slide and field, not an empty slide. Old key names still work.
• Template registry: a new template argument (.potx supported) and a new list_presentation_templates tool.
• Richer content: markdown and links in every text field, plus table widths, fills and merged cells, and chart labels and axis titles. Text is measured with real font metrics and shrinks to fit.

Warnings on every build

Word, Excel and PowerPoint return a warnings list (code + severity) beside the file. A dropped row or a substituted style no longer succeeds silently.

Admin UI

• Organised by product, with tabs and dark mode.
• PowerPoint templates, and a Base templates page to replace the files that style every document.
• Edit the global Word style mapping, with 16 style keys.
• Disable, rename, clone and preview templates, and clean up orphaned files.
• The Status page shows a searchable log and the warnings by tool.
• Configurable upload limit: ADMIN_MAX_UPLOAD_MB (default 25 MB).

Excel

• Formula cells in a percent column keep the column's decimal places.

🩹 Bug fixes

• Word: soft line breaks work the same everywhere, and a list resumed after other content is one real Word list.
• PowerPoint: the template's sample slides no longer ship inside every file. Numeric table cells, theme-colour fills, control characters and NaN values no longer break the deck, and a title is no longer dropped.
• Uploads: the file type comes from the last extension, and the local backend no longer reports a failed write as a success.
• Admin: /admin without a trailing slash no longer returns 404.

🛡 Security

• An unclosed **bold could freeze the server. Fixed in Word and PowerPoint.
• Links are clickable only for http, https, mailto and tel.
• The admin UI with no password set is now locked instead of open.

⚠️ Upgrade notes

• Email drafts default to en-US.
• PowerPoint rejects an unknown slide type or field instead of ignoring it.
• Uploads: a file_name with an unknown extension is refused.
• Admin UI: set ADMIN_PASSWORD (or API_KEY), or the admin UI stays locked.
