Official #5 — patch installs wait for the installer to actually start before closing the app, download progress is shown on the button, the update cache is named by the incoming version, stale installers are pruned from dist, and knowledge source downloads send browser-grade headers (fixes 403s from DOE/NASA/everyspec hosts).
