Anna 0.2.0 Developer Preview

Anna is a local-first desktop AI agent for enterprise Cowork workflows. This release publishes the current source tree for architecture inspection, local development, deterministic verification, and continued version maintenance on GitHub.

Included

• Desktop Chat/Create, Cowork, Crew, Hub, Settings, and runtime takeover surfaces
• Python Runtime plus the opt-in Harness v2 bridge
• Durable Run/Event Store, Tool Gateway, Trace/Eval, Scheduler, and desktop packaging foundations
• Chinese and English public release documentation

Verification

• TypeScript typecheck passed
• 963 JavaScript/TypeScript tests passed; 7 skipped
• 1048 Python tests passed
• Frontend smoke, build, 7 evidence manifests, dependency audits, macOS arm64 packaging, and packaged ASAR smoke passed

Hiker boundary

Hiker is an external collaborative project authored by @kc8zshnt6n-gif and is not currently open source. This repository contains only the Anna-side connector and UI integration; Anna's MIT License does not extend to Hiker.

Preview limits

This is an unsigned Developer Preview. Production Runtime/domain cutover, real-provider/MCP deployment evidence, signed/notarized installers, and Windows distribution acceptance remain follow-up work.

Repository note: this repository was created on April 2, 2026 for a retired book project and repurposed for Anna on August 24, 2026. The repository creation date is not Anna's software release date.
