How do I use filters?

For some reason, I can't make filters work.

I have a feed. Sometimes its article contain "Inside Track", which are special issues for subscribers. I want to exclude those, so I went to the feed settings, and wrote intitle:"Inside Track" into the "Mark article as read" box.

The filter doesn't seem to work, and the preview also displays the article. What am I missing?

The feed is private?

Maybe it's something like a non-breaking space instead of a space?

Just to be sure: automatic mark as read is applied on incoming articles, not on existing articles. But for existing articles, you can preview a filter, and then click on Mark as read

Ok. What about reloading the feed? It didn't change anything in my case.

I'll guess we'll have to wait for a new Inside Track.

If you first delete all articles in a feed, and then refresh the feed, it will work like that

It seems to work on new articles that don't pass the filter.

Can we have a button to retroapply it?

Try the Preview filters on existing articles button, and then click on mark as read
