Which file to download

The downloads are at the bottom of this page. Skip the source code zip. Skip files whose names end in .app.tar.gz; the app uses those to update itself.

Mac (Apple chip) is for most Macs from 2020 on. If yours is older, pick Mac (Intel). For a regular Windows PC, pick Windows. If yours is a Snapdragon PC, pick Windows (ARM).

Open the Mac file and drag Rebost into Applications. On Windows, run the installer. Microsoft may say it doesn't recognize the app yet. You can continue; Rebost is new to them.

What's new

The app works the same as the last version. Deleting a Shelf now says that Rebost will stop using it, and that no files are removed from your computer.

Most of the work in this version went into the repository itself. The source is public, with contributor guides, a code of conduct, and a privacy page that lists every request the app makes and what it sends.
