- Account Information: Username, password (encrypted), and email address.
- Session Tokens: For authentication and session management.
- Message Data: Messages are stored long-term and accessible only by the server administrator and the server-side application outside of normal client use.
Your data is used to:
- Provide and improve ChatCLI services.
- Authenticate users and manage sessions.
- Store message data for chat functionality and history.
- Send notifications such as verification emails and password reset links.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
- All passwords are encrypted using industry-standard practices.
- Message data is not encrypted at this time.
- Access to user data is restricted to the server administrator and server-side application outside of normal client use.
- During the Alpha phase, all data (messages, accounts, and other user data) may be deleted at any time without prior notice after the testing phase communicated in the latest release.
- No guarantee of long-term data retention is provided during this phase.
You have the right to:

- Access and update your personal information.
- Opt-out of non-essential notifications.
ChatCLI may use third-party services for specific features (e.g., email notifications). These services have their own privacy policies.
ChatCLI is an open-source project. By using the service, you acknowledge that the codebase is publicly available and can be reviewed, modified, or contributed to under the terms of its open-source license.
