Cly 0.6.1 fixes the first-launch experience for the downloadable macOS app.

What changed:

  • Packaged Cly now starts with its own clean desktop profile, separate from source-built development and demo data.
  • First launch opens guided setup with no preloaded projects.
  • Setup now offers local-only use or connection to an existing Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, or Cursor account for agent features.
  • New projects and setup progress continue to save locally between launches.
  • Older beta/development data is left untouched and is not imported automatically.

Download:

  • Apple Silicon Mac (M-series): Cly-0.6.1-mac-arm64.dmg
  • Open the DMG, drag Cly to Applications, then launch it from Applications.

This beta is not yet Developer ID signed or notarized. On first launch, Control-click Cly in Applications, choose Open, and confirm Open.

Cly 0.6.0 Desktop Beta

This release includes the first downloadable Cly desktop app for Apple Silicon Macs.

Install

  1. Download Cly-0.6.0-mac-arm64.dmg below. Do not download the automatically generated Source code archives; those contain developer files, not the Mac app.
  2. Open the DMG.
  3. Drag Cly into the Applications folder.
  4. For this unsigned beta, Control-click Cly in Applications and choose Open the first time. After that, launch Cly normally from Applications or Spotlight.

The first launch starts with a blank workspace so you can create your own project. Cly keeps its application data between launches.

Compatibility

  • Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4, and later) are supported by this installer.
  • Intel Mac, Windows, and Linux installers are not included yet because those builds have not been independently validated.
  • This beta is not yet signed or notarized with an Apple Developer ID, which is why the one-time Control-click → Open step is required.
