New in 1.1.0

  • Typed text: text boxes with a Google Docs-style formatting bar (paragraph styles, font, size, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, colours, highlight, alignment, lists).
  • Images: insert from your photos or long-press the page and paste; move, resize, copy, duplicate, reorder. Ink stays on top.
  • Draw with your finger with one tap on the hand button.
  • Quick note: a sheet that floats over any app (Quick Settings tile, accessibility shortcut, or a double tap on the home screen with Lawnchair), with ink drawn right under the pen.
  • Handwritten math: much more tolerant of hurried handwriting (small or slanted equals signs, exponents written high, digits in two strokes, minus signs written high), plus a soft veil and a "= result" chip when a formula is recognised.
  • Pages: pull past the last page to add one; delete-page button.
  • Fountain pen: thick strokes going down, hairlines going up, never broken.
  • Steady brightness while writing when adaptive brightness is on.
  • Google Docs, live (preview, full build only): a linked note is mirrored to a Google Doc a few seconds after every change.

First release of Tratto, handwritten notes for Android tablets with a stylus.

  • Five pens with pressure and tilt, low-latency ink (Jetpack Ink), eraser, lasso, ruled/grid/dotted pages
  • Double-click the pen button for a new note; quick note sheet over any app from the Quick Settings tile
  • Open and annotate PDFs, export to vector PDF
  • Handwritten math: write an expression and =, the result appears in handwriting
  • Transcription and neat copy in cursive or print (Hershey fonts)
  • Backup to a .tratto file or to Google Drive

Which APK?

  • Tratto-1.0.0-completa.apk: full build, same as in Tratto's F-Droid repository. Uses Google ML Kit and Play services.
  • Tratto-1.0.0-libera.apk: free software only. No transcription, math or Drive; automatic backups go to a folder you choose.
